Rima's Edit : Festival Season

Hi, it's Rima! I'm the co-founder of Goldie Swimwear and have been working in the industry as a fashion stylist for the past 8 years. I wanted to kick off our blog launch with a fun festival edit for all of our goldie girls heading to events in the desert this month. Although these looks are also great summer style inspo even if you're not in Indio tbh. Keep scrolling for 4 unique looks featuring our new Treasure Island collection and different ideas for styling bikinis this summer 

She's cool, she's comfy...she's COOL. A frilly sheer mini dress over our Treasure Island printed bikini? Absolute yes. This dress is from LA based designer Kitten by Kate + I can't get enough of her designs. Pair with metallic sneakers and accessories, a medium sized tote for your nighttime hoodie, sony cybershot and snacks.

I love a sporty look for events like festivals, comfort is key. This look is so fun and functional. She IS the vibe. Silky boxing shorts, striped sheer top, fun socks (bonus points for DIY-ing these) and then paired with Merrell mocs feels very on brand for our goldie girls. We love to mix it up

This look is our more girly goldie girl. The sheer maxi skirt / sheer mini dress combo was made for dancing in the fields. Edge it up a little with engineer boots, cool glasses and a Simone Rocha backpack. Fun hair and makeup of course....and top it off with a handmade crochet cowboy hat. This purple tie dye one is from amazing Mexican designer label, Beta Astral. 

I don't want to play favorites but I think this is actually my favorite look because it feels the most like my personal style. I love the idea of old running shorts (think high school gym shorts) and wearing them rolled super low rise with the bikini hiked up on the hips. Pairing a sporty short with a more girly/frilly top is such a cool combo that I think we'll see a lot of. These green eye looks have been living rent free in my head since I found these references, I need to see someone rock these. I also really love the idea of a tall ugg style boot (these are Mou brand) and then maybe hand embellishing them with studs and gems and pins.
